The third generation Smart Fortwo returns to the new batch of spy pictures, which were taken somewhere in southern Europe.
In these pictures, we can conclude that the new Fortwo will be slightly shorter and lower compared to the previous model, as well as a slightly reduced wheelbase. These changes will be made in order to free up space in the model range for larger Forfour. The latter debuts in 2015 or in 2016 and will receive four doors and a longer wheelbase designed to provide a decent amount of the legs of the rear passengers.
From the design point of view, the new Fortwo will repeat the Forvision concept car, shown two years ago at the Frankfurt car dealership. The car will use the same platform as the next generation of Renault Twingo.
The line of the engine will include three -cylinder gasoline and diesel units. It is also possible to appear electrical modification with an 87-horsepower electric motor.
