Hyundai intends to release two budget models in the next two years – Mikroven and crossover, which will be performed on the basis of one platform, and the start of sales should start in 2015.
At the moment, the creation of cars is being conducted in the research center in Rason. It can be expected that new items receive both diesel and gasoline engines. The development of machines is carried out with the participation of Indian specialists, so it can be expected that India will be the first market for these new products.
The appearance of the new crossover will resemble the concept of Hyundai Curb (the premiere was held in 2011 in Detroit). Earlier, the director of the Hyundai Motor CIS, Mr. Ku Yon-Gi, has already reported that Hyundai plans to create new cheap and small crossover in the Russian market: “Regarding the new model, we are discussing that it is possible to offer Russian clients. There is no specific answer yet, but the creation of crossovers is our main task. Therefore, such a model can soon be expected at the Hyundai factory in St. Petersburg, ”Ku Yon -G.
