All the time while I was led by this car, I continued to think about how this 2012 Hyundai Elantra won the prestigious prize and went around cars such as Volkswagen Passat and Ford Focus. After several hours and 200 km, I could not come up with an answer regarding why this car won from others.
Elantra suffers from several of the same troubles, which, at least, have longed for me some past Hyundai cars. Namely, a pendant that could be better and seats that are not so convenient.
Cool left turn, taken approximately 80 km per hour, has a tendency to lift the suspension on the Hyundai Elantra 2012. If the suspension is made well, then it will absorb strokes, and the car will go for a turn as a directed. If bad, then the car will jump or tightly pressed to the right – sometimes even very if the suspension is really bad. Elantroy’s control when passing this intersection was not terrible. I drove this route hundreds of times in hundreds of different cars, and I had cars that behave on this turn worse. But Elantra copes with such a turn much worse than the same Passat or Focus, which I recently led.
As for the seats, well, in general, flat bases with small lateral support are not in my sympathy. It is very difficult for me to sit in many cars with a manual gearbox, so in order to come up with a situation that would be convenient, I had to sweat and I finally found something with which I could lead this car. But it was not easy. The adjustable steering wheel, of course, helped in that issue, and its peculiarity to be telescopic, I really appreciate. Seats – of course, a personal preference, but it does not take too long for me to find out if I like them or not. You yourself can see how they look alive, for example, in the Hyundai Motor Show in Minsk and in any Hyundai Motor Show.
However, four cylinders from 1.8 liters are strong enough, and the ratio of the abstract and gasoline consumption, of course, is acceptable. I could like this car more with mechanics with six speeds, but this is only me. When using it, as a suburban car with just one passenger, the Elantra will not blind you frantic speed, but it will not look like a cow slowly dragging along the road.
The inside of the car has changed decently for the better, compared to the last model. Of course, there are a lot of solid plastic elements everywhere throughout the cabin. The audio system was in order, which could not but rejoice.
Personally, I still like the new Passat, then Focus and only then, I would put in the third place the 2012 Hyundai Elantra pedestal.
This car is a little sonata, like a gap, between Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Sonata. But in general, this is a good car, and it, of course, is competitive with other cars in this in the segment.
