Ford began testing the new Mondeo, which will become the “World Machine” just like Fiesta and Focus.
Mondeo is the first of the new Ford to use a completely new platform "CD4". Others who, as expected, will use this platform – the next generation of Ford Fusion and Lincoln Mkz Medium -sized sedans.
Expect that Mondeo will take many characteristic features from the new Focus, or, as it calls it Ford, "Kinetic “design. The new Mondeo was planned to be released in three different forms of the body, this time: sedan, van and as a 4-door car-compartment car. This hybrid wears the current European Corps Mondeo, which will have nothing to do with the new design.
Power will probably arrive from new engines with turbocharged Ford Ecoboost with four cylinders with various output and with the same range of diesel engines. Of course, this will also be a hybrid version, no manufacturer can do without hybrid versions today.
