Our photographers-spions have tracked down the test prototype of the facelift version of 2014 BMW M5, which took place on European roads.
The updated model, which was very little disguised, will receive typical updates in the framework of the middle of the life cycle: changed bums, restyled headlights and another radiator grille. These changes are insignificant, but they completely repeat such for the usual 5-Series.
Our spies could not take photos of the interior, but we can expect small changes, such as a changed finish and an updated IDRive system. Lada dealer said that soon new Russian models will receive a similar system.
The sports sedan is expected to retain the 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine V8, however, its output power will be increased to 560 horsepower (412 kW), and the torque will increase to 680 nm.
There was information that the Bavarians would offer an optional Competition package, which increases the output capacity to about 575 horsepower (423 kW). It will also include a sports suspension and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels.
